Marcus Gilroy-Ware is a writer and speaker about media, technology and politics.
In his work, he examines misinformation, attention economy, media ownership, big tech, and social media psychology.
He is author of 'After the Fact? The Truth about Fake News' (2020), nominated for the Bread and Roses Prize 2021, and 'Filling the Void: Emotion, Capitalism and Social Media' (2017).
From June 20th, he will be lecturer in Creative Digital Media at the Centre for Creative Industries, Media and Screen Studies, at SOAS, University of London. Until June 6th, 2022, he taught and researched at the University of the West of England, where he was the inaugural director of the Bachelor of Arts in Media Production.
