Johannes Lukas Gartner

Johannes is an independent strategy consultant, facilitator, and coach who supports leaders and teams in building cultures rooted in relational intelligence and psychological care. Until 2022, he served as International Director of Strategy & Organizational Development at Humanity in Action, a leadership development organization where he remains a Senior Fellow and Advisor of the CEO. Johannes co-founded and co-directed the Landecker Democracy Fellowship in collaboration with the Alfred Landecker Foundation. He has worked intimately with leaders, teams, and groups from the broadest spectrum of identities and experiences, including Jewish, Muslim, Christian, queer, trans*, Black, Brown, white, neurodivergent, and differently abled people and communities. Johannes is an alumnus of King’s College London, Humboldt University Berlin, and the Johns Hopkins University and is certified in systemic transformational design, ontological coaching, as well as the Google-born Search Inside Yourself emotional intelligence program. He partners with philanthropists, Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, foundations, and universities globally.
