Khushboo Jain is an academic, a social researcher and a human rights activist, engaged in agency-based political struggle. Through her ethnographic study of the home-making practices on the streets of Delhi, she critiques the normative ideas of home, family and the public-private divide. Her research experience spans various projects, including studies on street and railway children in India and social and geographic marginality in urban spaces in Europe. She is currently finishing her PhD at the Friedrich Alexander Universität (Germany) and teaching courses on feminist theories, women in contemporary Indian society, reimagining the home, child rights and law in India, research ethics and methodology
