Video installation at the #rpTEN

There are lots of things to explore at the #rp17: it goes without saying that besides the regular programme of discussions, talks, meetups and workshops, we have a variety of activities in store for you! The re:publica track is home to everything this year’s supporting programme has to offer – from relaxing tea tastings over icebreaker games to dance sessions!

Since many of these very special sessions aren’t displayed in the timetable, here’s a quick overview (aka the what-when-where) of all the activities and other exciting and surprising things happening off-stage during the #rp17:

rep:publica
The pre:publica is here for everyone who doesn’t want to settle for just the three days of re:publica, or anyone who prefers a more relaxed accreditation with drinks and snacks. On Sunday, 7th May, you can visit the courtyard at the STATION Berlin from 4pm to 9pm and pick up your #rp17 admission wristbands and badges before the big rush starts on Monday. Is this your first re:publica? Then come to the Newbies Meetup at 16.30pm @infopoint by the main entrance!

24/3 re:publica
NSA Plakatausstellung: The posters in the corridor between Stage 1 and the Networking Area show some of the camera-shy individuals testifying in the NSA Investigative Hearings.

Data2Life. Life2Data. Exhibit: This photo exhibition examines the relationship between data and people’s daily lives @mainhall

If by water: Fitting with the sub:marine track, the video installation explores the element of water. You can find it in the stairwell @labore:tory.

Interactive street sign: Where do we go from here? – You’ll find the interactive street sign somewhere on the #rp17 site. Where exactly is a secret, so keep your eyes peeled!

#LOL-Blackboard: Anni, Jule, Melanie & their Polaroid camera will be roaming around the #rp17 site to take a picture of all you people looking for love, some messing around, networking, game partners, you name it. The photos will end up on our “colourful” blackboard @networkingarea along with the contact info! What happens next is up to you!

@labore:tory you can watch a variety of projects in the video lounge on the first floor: Mete-o-rology, Air Water Stack - Mapping the Neuland, re:making research, Schaufenster Ozean
