Roundtable on a boat – How to fund creative projects within the EU

re:publica
re:connecting Europe 2017

Short thesis:

Europe and the European Union faces a broad amount of challenges and yet Europe is a source and supporter of culture, media landscape and the creative scene.

Description:

In 2018 for example will be the European Year of Cultural Heritage. In the past, European cultural heritage has benefited from a range of EU policies, programs and funding. In 2007-13, the European Regional Development Fund invested €3.2 billion in heritage. Numerous other programs exist and are open for small, medium and big proposals in the cultural, creative and digital sector.

How has Berlin’s cultural and creative sector benefited from European funding? What are the main problems people in this sector face?

This roundtable allows for an intimate and open exchange of experiences between Berlin and Thessaloniki.
