re:connecting Europe 2017

Short thesis:

Come to the GIG Makerspace and make your own sparkling skirt, statement tote or blinking tee!

Description:

We learn how to sew with conductive thread, connect LEDs and batteries, and the basics of wearable tech. Stumble into the rabbit hole where beauty, art, technology and tradition meet, get inspired by stories of empowering wearable technologies from around the world, and share your own ideas for what you want to do once you've mastered the art of sewing with steel.

Bring your own fabric, work on what you wear, or get one of our totes or tees to make your own and take home.

Up to 10 people can participate. No prior experience required – pros will just be finished faster than newbies :)
