Melissa Gira Grant (melissagira.com, @melissagira) is a writer on sex, technology, politics, and culture. She is the founder of the blogs Bound, not Gagged and Sexerati, and has reported on sex & the internet for Valleywag. Melissa has also contributed to Gawker, BlackBook, Slate, The San Francisco Bay Guardian, and The Frisky. She is currently a columnist on sex work and the internet for $pread magazine, and directs communications for the Third Wave Foundation, a feminist, activist foundation based in the United States. Melissa has also worked with the Tactical Tech Collective, the Open Society Institute, and the Global Network of Sex Work Projects to support advocates for sexual health, rights and justice in using information & communications technologies in their campaigns.
