Call for Papers #rpTEN

(French version here | Greek version here | Dutch version here) Curtains up for the #rpTEN Call for Papers. You are re:publica – re:publica is you! Participants are the speakers and vice-versa. TEN is NET. Take part and help shape our 10th anniversary with your ideas. re:publica is a call for commitment, responsibility and emancipation for our digital society. It is you, the speakers, discussion leaders, helpers and participants, who make up the core of re:publica.

For our 10th anniversary, we are really trying to bring participation, exchange and transfer of knowledge and experience to the forefront. We'll reflect on the past and continue to look to the future: What came, what went and what is here to stay. In this, we are counting on you and your ideas, visions, suggestions and projects. Surprise us with your unusual, exciting, interesting and original submissions. Give your ideas free rein: We welcome everything, from talks and discussions to ideas for performances, games, surveys. Give us all of your exciting suggestions and let's turn re:publica into a colourful and eclectic mix once again.

Last year, we received 800 submissions to our Call for Papers. More than half of #rp15's 500 hour event programme was curated from your suggestions and submissions. That's what makes re:publica a unique conference on the digital society. So, the wider your interests, the broader our spectrum! #rpTEN will again bring diverse themes, event formats and workshops together into one event. Here's a small sample: Makerspaces and Innovation Hubs from around the globe presented by Global Innovation Gathering (GIG), topics and issues affecting Internet policy, wearables and the interleaving of fashion and digitisation presented by #FASHIONTECHBERLIN, music, mobility, new avenues in health care through re:health, innovations in the education sector through re:learn, and much much more... All media related themes will receive special attention. As in last year, we are curating a full programme for our stage at our partner conference MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin. Submit any and all ideas!

re:publica incorporates so many facets and starting points that it can offer something for everyone. Furthermore, last year's re:publica newcomers were greeted with a host of events to welcome them into the wider community. This year, we will feature new Meet-Ups to encourage different communities to become more visible and connected in the #rpTEN event and its programme. From the food blogger community to podcasters – use re:publica as a base to connect and engage. Watch our blog for more details.

Intrigued? The deadline for submissions is 10 January 2016. Read more here. Besides an English and German info you can also read more on the Call for Papers in French over here, in Greek over here and in Dutch over here.
