We’re extending the Call for Participation for our “Tech for Good” topic until 31 January 2018!
We firmly believe that digital technologies can play a significant role in taking on social and economic challenges on a global scale, as well as helping find innovative solutions. Within the scope of the “Tech for Good” topic, we want to discuss developmental cooperation and digitisation, and bundle worldwide activities. This makes even more sense when one sees how new centres of innovation have emerged in Africa, Asia and Latin America – ones we in Europe can still learn a lot from.
As the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), we want to use the digital revolution for sustainable development. For example, how can the application of smartphone apps, big data, blockchain, software solutions or drones contribute to more efficiency, transparency and participation? How can the chances that digitisation offers be used to solve global problems?
We especially want to give voices from outside Europe a stage at #rp18 to present their inspiring and innovative contributions. You can discuss how to overcome the challenges and risks of the digital shift or report on successful projects.
PS: The most exciting Topic submissions will have their travel costs covered. We look forward to receiving your submissions! This way to the Call for Participation.
