.txt — Long live the word!

What happens when a network meeting takes place around the written word with re:publica spirit? When it's not just about "high literature" but also about screenplays, song lyrics, graphic novels, tweets, podcast scripts, essays and memes? When professionals meet autodidacts and space is created for authors, artists, conceptual designers, producers, publishers and researchers from the literary world, the film industry, games culture, music, podcasting, digital research and technology development?

.txt - we simply pronounce it "text" - aims to answer these questions. The new format sees itself as a networking event where the living word is celebrated and discussed - with a mix of stage programme including talk and entertainment formats, workshops, a marketplace and support programme.

On 11 June 2022, the fourth day of re:publica, we want to devote ourselves exclusively to the written word in the Glashaus and the Badeschiff on the Arena grounds, going back a little to the origins of the former bloggers' conference, but acting in the here and now and tomorrow.

Programme items, formats, guests and details will follow, but one thing is already certain: there will be a fourth re:publica day with .txt. The day ticket will cost 45 euros, but for re:publica guests who can't get enough, this fourth day will be available at a discounted price of 25 euros.

We look forward to seeing you on 11 June 2022 in Berlin!

Nilgün Akıncı

Info

Hell Yeah - Gewaltreproduktion in Geschichten abbauen

Marlene Pardeller

Info
