Leon Hemkemeyer

Leon Hemkemeyer is Programmes Coordinator at the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD). He has been with EPD for over six years, working on a range of projects supporting democracy and human rights worldwide. Prior to this, he collected first working experience at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and Democracy Reporting International (DRI). He studied political science in the United States, Egypt and Germany and earned a master’s degree at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2015. He is currently enrolled in a part-time master programme on evaluation. Most recently his work has involved a number of civic tech related initiatives, particularly in various African countries.
