Ralf Hermann is Head of GOVET (German Office for International Cooperation in VET) at BIBB (Federal Institute for Vocational Education). He consults the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and other Fed. Govt. departments on strategic questions of international TVET cooperation, collaborates with the large network of German state and private institutions in this area as well with ministries and technical experts in partner countries, takes part in the strategy development on countries, regions and priority topics of TVET international, and contributes to research in this field. Ralf Hermann was Head of DAAD South Africa, has a lecturing record of 15 years at universities and private institutions of language and adult education in Germany, South Africa (Wits University) and Serbia (University of Belgrade), consulted the BMBF on research, innovation and education cooperation (e.g. Israel, developing countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA region, migration) and worked on international curricular development (DW Academy). He graduated from Leipzig and Edinburgh in intercultural German studies, area studies (Africa) and adult education / German as a foreign language.
