Mbuh Stella

Mbuh Stella is an award winning freelance journalist resident in the North West Region of Cameroon. She produces content for TV channels based in Cameroon. 

She is a cohort 2 fellow of the African Fact Checking Fellowship Cameroon (#AFFC). Stella is passionate about putting a stop to hatespeech, mis/disinformation, in her community where the ills have caused many deaths. 

She was recognized, in 2020 and 2021 by Camraise Academy Awards and the Herald Tribune respectively, for her bravery in reporting the news in the conflict-hit North West Region, while maintaining a professional touch to her news reporting. She was also recognized at the 2022 #AFFC Summit by the #defyhatenow Cameroon initiative and partners in the Civil Society category as Best Independent Specialized Fact Checker.

Stella holds a diploma in Digital Videography and is currently a student of Communication and Development Studies at the University of Bamenda.
