Tracks & Topics
Participants of the re:publica x srh CAMPUS Berlin can choose from three topics and set their own individual focus:
Track I
Who Controls the Code: Ethics and Responsibility in AI
(will be held in English)
Artificial intelligence has long been part of our everyday lives – in apps, on platforms, and in medicine. It can support us, but it can also control us. What happens when machines not only know what we do but also how we think? And who actually decides what an AI is allowed to do – and what not?
This track is for anyone who wants to explore the fundamental questions of AI and ethics: What does it mean to develop technology responsibly? How can we ensure that AI does not discriminate or manipulate? Who owns our data – and how do we protect our thoughts?
We will talk about digital security as part of a living democracy. About the role of politics, tech companies, and society. And about why we need diverse perspectives to shape fair technologies for everyone. An invitation to have a say, to think – and not to leave everything to AI.
Our Experts:
- Janosch Delcker, Tech Journalist and Futurist
- Prof. Alexander Iliev, Head of Study Programme Big Data and Artificial Intelligence program, SRH University Berlin
- Prof. Daniel Arias-Aranda, Full Professor of Business Organization at the University of Granada (Spain), Cooperation Partner of the SRH University Berlin
Track II
Thinking Futures Together: Co-Creation & Open Innovation
The future is not something that just happens – it is what we make of it. The “Co-Creation & Open Innovation” track is all about thinking together instead of alone: using methods such as scenario development, strategic foresight, and radical collaboration. Only with diverse perspectives can we challenge thought patterns and unlock new spaces of possibility.
We will examine cultural change within organizations: How can an open mindset emerge? What structures are needed to not only enable innovation but live it together?
Storytelling and prototyping also play a key role – as tools to make the future tangible, develop arguments for change, and bring collective imagination to life.
Whether through creative tools from strategic and systemic design, life-centered processes, or holistic visions: This is about shaping futures actively and sustainably – instead of merely chasing them.
Our Experts:
- Dodo Vögler, Futurist and Founder of Ellery Studio
- Prof. Julia Leihener, Professor and Head of Master’s Programme “Strategic Design”, SRH University Berlin
- Prof. Christian Kapteyn, Professor of Digital Business and Head of Master’s Programme “Digital Transformation Management”, SRH University Berlin
Track III
Staying Capable in the Polycrisis: Resilience & Crisis Competence
Crises challenge us – individually, socially, globally. But they also offer opportunities for new solidarity, shared knowledge, and collective solutions. This track focuses on resilience strategies: emotional, digital, social.
What does it mean to be crisis-competent in a world shaped by climate anxiety, skill gaps, demographic change, and digital overload? We will explore re- and up-skilling for a future-proof working world, intergenerational learning, and respectful exchange of experiences.
Mental health is also at the center: How can we foster mental strength – through mindfulness, digital tools, and new dialogues about what truly moves us?
From climate conflicts, self-worth in social media, to community-based resilience strategies: this track invites participants to seek answers together – especially through writing as an effective tool to strengthen resilience and crisis competence – and to remain capable in times of constant crisis.
Our Experts:
- Prof. Dr. habil. Katrin Girgensohn, Professor of Writing Studies, SRH University Berlin
- Prof. Dr. Franziska Schölmerich, Head of MBA programme “Business Coaching and New Work Organizational Development”, SRH University Berlin
- Luisa Weyrich, Co-Founder SHITSHOW – Agency for mental health
In small groups and various workshop units, the topics are explored interactively and creatively, and transferred into professional practice. These include inspiring keynotes, expert talks and impulses, activating method trainings, and joint reflection and presentation sessions.
The goal is the integration of future-relevant knowledge into practical skills. The focus is on learning future skills to meet the challenges of our time. To foster a holistic perspective and strengthen professional networks, the tracks are partially interlinked and interdisciplinary exchange is encouraged.
The didactic concept is based on the SRH University’s CORE principle, enabling a deep and interactive learning experience. The event features a mix of keynote speeches, workshops, and group work. Supporting materials help apply the acquired knowledge in practice even after the training.
