At re:publica 25, Ricarda Lang will reflect on her intense years at the top of her party – and look ahead to her political future. In conversation with re:publica co-founder Johnny Haeusler, she talks about the courage to delegate responsibilities, the challenges of being a young woman at the center of the political public sphere – and her quest for authenticity, humor, and clarity in communication.

In the center of this will be questions like: How can we engage in social media debates in a sharp, witty, and constructive way? What is needed for political dialogue to succeed across party lines and generations?

We are looking forward to a half an hour about power, media and the strength of a personal tone in politics.

Ricarda Lang served as spokesperson for the Federal Association of Campusgrün (the umbrella organization of green groups at universities and colleges) from April 2014 to September 2015. In addition to that she was a member of the Federal Board of the Green Youth from 2015-2019 ant took over as its Federal Spokesperson from 2017 to 2019. Betweeen 2019 and 2022, she has been Deputy Federal Chair and Spokesperson for Women’s Policy of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen – and until the end of 2024 Federal Chair and Spokesperson for Women’s Policy. Since October 2021 she has been a Member of the German Bundestag.
