Djamal Elangui Okoko studies product design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and works for the Berlin association Sozialheld*innen, who are doing a wide range of projects in the field of Disability Mainstreaming.

He is currently writing his bachelor thesis about intersections of Disability Studies and design theory and practice. A disabled and Black person himself, he questions dis/ability, in the sense of systemic and societal norms and oppression, and the function of design in this context.
