#rp26 – Everything you need to know!
To make sure you can enjoy our festival as usual, we have summarised the most important information for you:
re:publica 26 opening hours:
- Sunday, 17 May 2026: pre:publica | Accreditation open 16:00-21:00
- Monday, 18 May 2026: Entry: 9:00 | Programme starts: 10:30
- Tuesday, 19 May 2026: Entry: 9:00 | Programme starts: 10:00
- Wednesday, 20 May 2026: Entry: 9:00 | Programme starts: 10:00
We recommend that you allow enough time for accreditation, as experience has shown that the rush is greatest on the first day. If you can, join pre:publica on Sunday!
What you shouldn't forget a.k.a. the #rp26 packing list:
- Headphones, charger, power bank: this year, there will once again be a number of stages where you can only listen to the programme via headphones. For #rp26, we’ll be using a special audio system. Please bring your own headphones and download the LiveVoice app onto your smartphone or tablet. Don’t forget your chargers and power banks either! Should your battery run out, you can borrow a power bank from our partner Rechargy. There are a total of six stations spread across the site. In case you don’t have headphones and/or devices with you, we have a (limited) number of headphones and devices available to borrow at the Info Point.
- Lanyard: For reasons of sustainability, we are once again refraining from producing lanyards this year. We are sure that almost every one of you has an old one at home and therefore ask you to bring one with you and reuse it. Otherwise, there will also be colorful cords at the entrance that you can use for your name tag.
- Drinking bottle: At our water station (provided by Berliner Wasserbetriebe) you can fill your own bottles (up to 1 liter). The drinking water station is marked with a "water drop" on the map and is located in the main hall of STATION Berlin.
- Old, unused smartphones: Do you have a functional but unused smartphone in your drawer? Together with our partner Berliner Stadtmission, we are collecting old cell phone donations at #rp26 for the digital participation of homeless people. Simply hand them in at info point – preferably together with the charging cable!
re:publica programme app
Create your personal program schedule, get news and updates as well as all information about the speakers, locations and partners of re:publica Berlin 26! You can download it in the App Store for Android and for iOS.
How to get there
The entrance to STATION is located at Luckenwalder Straße 4-6.
Within Berlin, we recommend travelling by public transport or bicycle. The S&U train stations U Gleisdreieck, U Möckernbrücke and S Anhalter Bahnhof are only a few minutes' walk away.
Take a taxi to re:publica 26: Bad weather, mobility restrictions or missed your connection? No problem: travel to re:publica with our mobility partner FREENOW by Lyft! Use the code ‘RP26’ in the FREENOW app to get a 10% discount (up to €7 per trip) on two taxi rides to the event. If you're new to FREENOW, use the code ‘RPNEW26’ for a 50% discount (up to a maximum of €10 per trip).
Admission
Please note: Not everything is allowed on the re:publica festival grounds. You can find an overview of what you can and cannot bring here:
-
You may bring in reusable bottles and containers of up to 1 litre (per person).
-
You are welcome to bring in small backpacks, handbags and laptop bags up to A3 size.
-
Large backpacks, sports bags, travel bags and suitcases must be handed in at the cloakroom beforehand.
-
Dangerous items such as weapons, ammunition and pyrotechnic products are prohibited on the premises. They cannot be stored for you either.
-
Unfortunately, animals are not permitted on the premises, with the exception of assistance dogs, for example: please contact us as soon as possible at ticket@re-publica.com.
-
Bicycles, e-scooters, scooters, e-boards, skateboards and roller skates must also be left outside.
For anyone who doesn’t have a rucksack or similar bag with them, we’ve set up a ‘fast lane’ this year – all you need to do is show your wristband there.
For security reasons, no bags are permitted at the session with Angela Merkel as part of the WDR Europaforum (18 May 2026, 13:00, Stage 5). A “pop-up cloakroom” will be available at the entrance to Stage 5 before the session. Please arrive in good time before the start and note that there are only a limited number of places available.
Livestream
Once again this year, we will be streaming the entire Stage 1 programme live on re-publica.com. We will record all sessions on stages 1-7 and the Lightning Boxes and, as always, publish the videos on our YouTube channel after the event.
As every year, photos and videos will be taken during re:publica. You can find the photos on our Flickr channel.
The festival location
To make sure you get to the program sessions quickly and don't miss anything, you can find our location map here.
Accessibility & inclusion
How to get there: Parking spaces for people with disabilities are available close to the entrance. Additional parking spaces can be found in short distance. Also, you can get on and off directly in front of STATION Berlin.
If you would like to use public transportation, you can find information on barrier-free travel in the BVG FAQ. The subway station “Gleisdreieck” and the S-Bahn station “Anhalter Bahnhof” are also equipped with an elevator.
On site: The location is largely barrier-free, at ground level and easily accessible for people in wheelchairs. Only Hall 5 on the upper floor can only be reached via stairs or an elevator. For a better impression, you can call up pictures of the individual halls and take a 360-degree tour on the STATION BERLIN website. At Stage 1, we have designated priority seating for people in wheelchairs as well as seating with easy access. There are several wheelchair-accessible sanitary facilities on the grounds. They are marked on the site plan for the event.
re:publica can be a bit overwhelming. That’s why we’re setting up a ‘Silent & Relax Area’ in the Viadukt, which is quiet and low-stimulus. This space is for anyone who needs a quick break from the hustle and bustle.
Translation: Stage 1 programme content can be followed either in the original sound, or with language interpretation. It can be followed live on stage or via live stream. A mobile team of sign language interpreters (DGS) can be requested via the info point. We also offer AI supported live transcription of the presentations and discussions for Stage 1. This means that the content presented can also be read.
Visitors who require the support of an accompanying person will receive an additional ticket free of charge – in exceptional cases also for more than one person or different accompanying persons on different days. To do this, select the “Reduced with accompanying person” category in our ticket store. Further information can be found here.
re:publica for parents and kids
re:publica is an event for the whole family. Children are very welcome – whatever their age. Due to renovation work at STATION Berlin, we are unable to provide a separate Kids & Baby Space this time. In the Community Garden, there is a breastfeeding and nappy-changing area, as well as small play areas. The Makerspace has set up a Kids Corner with a programme of workshops for crafting and tinkering.
For children aged 13 and over, we recommend a visit to TINCON, which takes place on all three days between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm, running concurrently with re:publica at STATION.
Awareness team
A mobile awareness team will be on site on all festival days – recognisable by the white vests with the print “Awareness”. You can contact them directly or by phone (+49 30-202371439), by email to awareness@re-publica.com and via the info point.
Sustainability
re:publica is a space for engagement, empowerment and empathy in (digital) society. As a major event, we are aware of our special responsibility and want to do our bit for sustainable development – both in our programme and in our operations. We want to make #rp26 as sustainable as possible, for and with you. You can find a detailed overview of our sustainability measures here.
Essen & Getränke
The festival site will once again feature a wide range of food and drink options, as well as various food trucks. Since 2022, re:publica’s catering has been entirely meat-free – for both attendees and the crew.
At #rp26, there will be a standardised reuse system. Whether it’s a coffee cup, a chip tray or a bowl – you’ll receive food and drinks in reusable plastic tableware (mainly made of polypropylene), making it easier to return to the recycling cycle. The only exception: food served to take away. This will be provided in a paper bag. Reusable items can be returned at the respective food stalls.
#rp26 participant survey
We want to hear from you! As always, we’re keen to hear your views, as your feedback is extremely valuable to us in helping us develop and improve our formats and content. We’d therefore like to invite you to take part in our short online participant survey for #rp26. The online questionnaire will be available here (from 18 May).
Our festival thrives on a peaceful and supportive atmosphere. Join us in 2026 for the best re:publica you could possibly wish for.
If you ever run into a problem, have any questions or need help, feel free to pop by our Info Point or drop us an email (info@re-publica.com) and we’ll be happy to help.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you!
