Julia Koch is an artist focusing on ecological research through a resonance-based approach, observing relations and political dependencies. Through site-specific acoustic installations, films, and writing, she explores the material conditions of the internet infrastructure and its economic and political implications. Her work is shaped by sonic tendencies present in other projects she contributes as well. Collaborating with people through their lived experience and scientists, her research is continually refined.

She is engaged in sonic projects like BEEK, which brings together contributions from composition, improvisation, performance, and sound art. Julia is also the Co-Creator of Gruppe Motto, an exhibition space that challenges universal definitions of life through various artists' contributions. Her involvement in sound and music projects deepens her main method: listening
