Federal Ministry of Finance
Modernisation, stability and fairness – these are not abstract concepts but real priorities of the German government that need to be updated and fine-tuned on an ongoing basis. Contributing to this process is one of the core tasks of the Federal Ministry of Finance. The ministry’s roughly 2,200 employees each play their part to ensure effective investments, sound public finances and an equitable future – this includes preparing and implementing the federal budget, financial market regulation, the international coordination of fiscal policy, the fair taxation of individuals and businesses, and much more.
