Christian Bollert

Christian Bollert is co-founder and managing director of the award-winning German podcast-radio detektor.fm. The team is a three time winner of the German Radioprize for "best innovation" (2012), "best podcast" (2021) and "best documentary" (2023), has won the Grimme Online Award (2023) or the "Ernst-Schneider-Preis für Wirtschaftsjournalismus" (2017) .

detektor.fm is partnering with media companies like brand eins, DER SPIEGEL, heise.de, Monopol Magazin, Spektrum der Wissenschaft or Süddeutsche Zeitung. In recent years the detektor.fm also partnered with public radio stations like radioeins (rbb), MDR or SWR for storytelling-podcasts like "Teurer Wohnen". In the spring of 2026 detektor.fm is starting a regional podcast and newsletter for the state of Sachsen-Anhalt. The team wants to bolster the regional media landscape and prodive more meaningful journalism.

Christian was born and raised in Potsdam, studied in Leipzig and Manchester and worked as a freelance journalist for different radio stations. He was part of the IJP-programme in the Netherlands and the IVLP-programme of the U.S.-Department of State.
