Casper Westhausen (b. 1990. Copenhagen) is an artist, designer and programmer. Currently his practice involves using Open Data, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data as generative material. By doing this he works towards creating more transparency as well as searching for untapped potential within these technologies. This is done through media installations, interactive applications, and audio-visual works.

a.l.p.h.a is an interactive installation wherein an AI captures the visitors appearance, sending their data to the natural language model GPT-3 to generate a personalised poem. This work highlights the potential of using AI to subvert the dry nature of data collection as a means to create playful and interactive art.
