Isabelle Roughol

Isabelle Roughol is a journalist, immigrant and newsroom leader, focused on building smart and sustainable public-service news organisations where people love to work. She is currently the director of audience and revenue development at The New Humanitarian, a newsroom dedicated to covering humanitarian crises and keeping the aid sector accountable. She was previously international editorial director at LinkedIn, as well as the founder and host of Borderline, an independent podcast about lives lived across borders. Isabelle got her start in traditional ink-on-fingers news; she received a Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked as a reporter and editor at The Columbia Missourian, The Cambodia Daily and Le Figaro. She’s lived in the US, Paris, Sydney, Phnom Penh and now calls London home.
