Born September 1957 as „Georg“ Kellermann Started writing for the local newspaper „Rheinische Post Ratingen” even before graduating from High School 1983 Freelancer at the Dusseldorf Office of WDR. Mostly for the daily programs “Aktuelle Stunde” and “Hier und Heute” 1985 – 1992 Freelancer “Regionalkorrespondent” for the city of Duisburg and the lower Rhine Area 1992 permanently employed at WDR. Working for the morning show “ARD Morgenmagazin”. Reporting from Bosnia, Ruanda, Burundi, Uganda, Hongkong, Russia and other countries. 1997 – 1999 Correspondent for ARD in Washington, DC. 1999 – 2002 Reporter and planning Editor for ARD Morgenmagazin 2002 – 2006 Correspondent for ARD in Paris 2006 -2014 Head of the Bonn office of WDR with the daily program “WDR Lokalzeit aus Bonn” 2014 – 2019 Head of the Duisburg office of WDR with the daily program “WDR Lokalzeit aus Duisburg” 2019 – 2023 Head of the Essen office of WDR with the daily program “WDR Lokalzeit Ruhr”.
