Kristina Yasuda is Identity System Architect at SPRIND - the German Federal Agency of Disruptive Innovation. Prior to this role, she worked as an Identity Standards Architect at Microsoft.
Kristina is well-known for her work on standards in the decentralized identity ecosystem. Some of her notable contributions include being an editor of the OpenID for Verifiable Credentials specifications in the OpenID Foundation (OIDF) and editor in the ‘Selective Disclosure for JSON Web Tokens’ draft in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). She has also served as the former chair of the Verifiable Credentials Working Group in the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and has been a member of the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC17 working group, focusing on mobile driving licenses, among other things.
Kristina Yasuda has received several awards for her work, including being recognized as one of MIT Technology Review's ‘Innovators Under 35’, ‘Forbes Japan 30 Under 30’, and being listed in ‘The Identity 25’ by Okta Ventures.
