CyberRäuber – a digital performing arts collective

Marcel Karnapke and Björn Lengers have been working together since 2016 under the name CyberRäuber.

As a digital performing arts collective they subsequently made a name for themselves with projects that move theater into digital worlds or bring the digital worlds onto the stage. Driven by curiosity and a belief in a great future for theater, they are experts in the digital exploration of theater traditions. The artists have since created a variety of works spanning the genre of theater, dance, opera, music theater and children and youth theater. Their work has been welcomed into educational institutions and exhibition spaces, such as the Humboldt Forum, where the use of XR technology adds another layer to the experience of history in the context of a museum. Apart from XR technology, they have also used the web, 360° film, mobile apps and increasingly focus on human interfaces for real-time artificial intelligence production.

"Theater der Zeit" characterizes their work as "a unique mixture of affinity for technology, pioneering spirit, pragmatism and love of theater".
