Based in Vienna, Austria, filmmaker Friedrich Moser has been writing, directing, shooting and producing award-winning documentaries since 2001. His films have been exhibited in festivals around the world, on Netflix, Amazon Prime, iTunes and other platforms. They have been broadcast all over Europe, several of them also being theatrically released. The focus of his work is on the intersection between tech, science, politics and society. His latest productions are HOW TO BUILD A TRUTH ENGINE (2024, dir. Friedrich Moser, exec prod. George Clooney), which looks into why we fall so easily for Fake News, disinformation and conspiracy theories and what we can do about it, FLASH WARS (2023, dir. Daniel Wunderer) about autonomous weapons, AI and the future of warfare, and MONEY BOTS (2020, dir. Daniel Wunderer & Friedrich Moser) about high frequency trading and the automation of the financial markets. Upcoming projects look into the Dark Enlightenment, long time storage of digital data and manipulations of the online advertisement market.
