Kasia Odrozek is a research strategist, community builder, and expert in AI governance and data ethics. She has long served as the director of the Insights team at the Mozilla Foundation, a unit that researches and develops industry and policy recommendations on responsible AI while uplifting ethical innovators. Kasia now consults with organizations on the ethics of AI, research, organizational strategy, and open community engagement. She has regularly advised grantmaking bodies such as the Steering Committee of the EU AI & Society Fund and the Prototype Fund on funding. Before joining Mozilla, she worked on developing open culture and software with Wikipedia communities, led product strategy, and developed alternative funding models for audio publishers at her podcasting platform, TapeWrite. She founded the Berlin chapter of Zebras Unite, which advocates for a more ethical and inclusive startup and venture capital culture. She has long contributed to Global Voices, an international blogger community where she reported on digital and human rights issues. Kasia has a background in law, political science, and product management.
