Aurelie Herbelot

Aurelie Herbelot is a computational linguist and CTO. She is the author of 40+ international publications in the field of semantics. She is also one of the lead developers of PeARS, a lightweight decentralised search engine. As a researcher, she is interested in the way humans and other intelligent beings generate meaning in the process of communicating, creating and understanding. More broadly, she is dedicated to the development of open source tech that can be used and understood by anybody, regardless of their level of digitalisation or financial resources.
