Where does the internet end?

We think of our online spaces as never-ended and always on. But it’s not - a bunch of servers holding our intimate relationships, private photos and memes. What we share (and don’t share) online shapes how we see and see ourselves. This bleeds our online and offline identities into one another.

So what happens when we lose part of our digital selves? When digital spaces are lost? From Instagram deleting accounts to online media platforms ceasing to exist - digital platforms won’t last forever. So, how can we use creative archiving to preserve our digital identities? And how can it be done as a form of self-care?

We will talk through two case studies and share some creative explorations from our own practice, including collaging and zine making.
