This workshop introduces a canvas (similar to the Business Model Canvas) to help you design strong hybrid live experiences. It can be used to design events, media formats, apps, exhibitions, and other types of live experiences. The canvas is based on extensive research on live experiences and is focused on developing fitting blends of media and physical environments to engage audiences of the generations X, Y, and Z.
Please bring something you are working on, or an idea that you have and want to develop further. The workshop will start with a brief introduction of the concept of hybridity and the three main axes in the canvas – time, space, and social context. This introduction is based on my PhD research into media use and live experiences. Then, for the main part of the workshop, we will work with the canvas to develop your ideas further. I will guide you through the use of the canvas to design your tailored hybrid live experience.
