According to the Gender Pension Gap Report of the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, women receive on average almost 60 percent less pension than men – in retirement they often lack several hundred euros. Our speakers Nakeema Stefflbauer (FrauenLoop gUG) and Daria Suvorova (WAA Podcast) discuss on stage how to make women financially independent and protect them from poverty in post-retirement years. The conversation on the re:publica stage will also be published as a new WAA Podcast episode.
Nakeema Stefflbauer's motivation for founding “FrauenLoop” is women's financial inclusion and independence. She qualifies women for in-demand technical jobs in IT as an alternative to low-paying roles in industries that are frequently dominated by women. Among FrauenLoop's graduates are many women with a migration background, working mothers, asylum-holders and women who never previously considered working in IT.
