Info
Seeed Studio is bringing hands-on workshop introduces developers, makers, and innovators to Meshtastic, an open-source, off-grid communication platform that enables low-power mesh networking using LoRa technology. Participants will explore how Seeed Studio’s hardware ecosystem—including devices such as the Wio Tracker series, XIAO microcontrollers, and SenseCAP LoRa solutions—can be used to rapidly prototype and deploy decentralized communication systems in environments where traditional connectivity is unreliable or unavailable.

Everyday at the Makerspace, attend our short technical briefings and guided build sessions, learn the fundamentals of mesh networking, LoRa radio communication, and edge device integration. We will be displaying a variety of community projects from around the world, including disaster response communication, environmental monitoring, wildlife tracking, rural connectivity, and community-built sensor networks, and Seeed Studio’s own MOBILE LAB that is taking this communication on the road in China currently as an on-going live experiment.

Participants will configure and deploy their own Meshtastic node, experiment with message routing across a mesh network, and explore how additional sensors and edge AI capabilities can extend the platform into a broader distributed sensing and coordination infrastructure.

By the end of the session, participants will leave with a working Meshtastic device, a deeper understanding of resilient peer-to-peer networks, and practical insight into how Seeed Studio’s open hardware platforms enable rapid experimentation and deployment in the field.
