Fridah Kibuko is a dedicated advocate for female empowerment, currently serving as the Country Coordinator for WIDU Kenya. WIDU Kenya is a German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Programme that harnesses diaspora remittances to empower small and micro enterprises, fostering job creation and enhancing livelihoods.

Through this role, Fridah actively supports women-led businesses, which constitute an impressive 52% of the ventures supported in Kenya across various sectors, including creatives and digital projects. This first-hand experience has provided her with valuable insights into the challenges, opportunities, and experiences faced by women entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa. As a result, Fridah is well-equipped to offer practical recommendations on how to overcome barriers and promote the advancement of women entrepreneurs.

With a distinguished career spanning sixteen years, Fridah has excelled as a professional project management specialist, trainer, and evaluator within the field of international development. Her expertise encompasses several thematic areas, including Migration Governance, Peace and Security, Women Empowerment, Human Rights, and Financial Management. Having worked extensively in Eastern Africa, including countries such as Burundi, Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Sudan, and Uganda, Fridah possesses invaluable field experience that informs her work. Her academic accomplishments further enhance her expertise, with a Master's degree in International Relations, Project Management, Finance, and Education (Economics).
