Stephan Mündges

Stephan Mündges is the Coordinator of the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN). He previously worked as the general manager of the Institute of Journalism at TU Dortmund University, Germany’s leading institute for university-based journalism education. He was also one of the coordinators of the German-Austrian Digital Media Observatory (GADMO) and was one of the hub representatives serving on the EDMO Executive Board. Before transitioning into academia, he worked for 12 years for the German public broadcaster ZDF, focusing in his reporting on digital policy, platform regulation and disinformation campaigns. Stephan has also worked as an external assessor for the IFCN.
