Niklas Kossow is Head of the Smart City & Government Innovation Division at CityLAB Berlin, working on a more digital Berlin and supporting the implementation of Berlin's Smart City strategy. Niklas has has previously worked as a analyst and consultant for the United Nations Development Program, the World Wide Web Foundation, Freedom House, Transparency International and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on the use of digital technologies in anti-corruption movements at the Hertie School in Berlin, focussing on digital procurement programs in Ukraine, as well as the use of distributed ledger technology for anti-corruption.
