Regina worked 7 years for the International Telecommunication Union, where she, within the frameworks of the ITU’s most important conference, set up the Young Innovators Program: the United Nations’ first co-creation and ideation platform for young social entrepreneurs working with connected technologies in innovative ways. She also set up an accelerator and incubation program with peer and traditional mentorship, knowledge sharing, high-level networking opportunities, visibility and seed funding. She successfully incubated 100+ social startups worldwide. In 2016, she moved to Berlin to develop Ashoka’s digital social entrepreneurial strategy, manage the incubation of the Google Impact Challenge winners and assist Ashoka’s German youth program. In 2017, she launched the Social-Digital Incubator, a project aimed at fostering financially sustainable social innovation boosted by digital technologies all over the world. She is a Research Associate and EU Project Lead at the Technical University of Berlin and earned her PhD in 2022 on grassroots innovation and critical technical practice.
