Who cares? The Call for Participation for re:publica 24

Have you been waiting all year for re:publica to start again? Or maybe you're here for the first time and would like to help shape re:publica 24 with your idea? Then you've come to the right place. The Call for Participation (CfP) is now open - get involved!

Whether you're a re:publica "all star" or a "newbie" – we're looking for your idea for the #rp24 programme! Your expertise, your talent, your thesis, your creativity, your project, your vision: we look forward to your proposals!

From 27 to 29 May 2024, re:publica at STATION Berlin offers plenty of space to bring your idea to one of our stages and help shape our festival for the digital society.

As part of the Call for Participation, you can submit your proposal for the following festival areas:

• Conference
  The re:publica conference programme includes all formats taking place on our stages: From panels and talks to interactive roundtables.
• Hands On
  Whether it's a (hardware) workshop, making and tinkering, gardening with robots, live biohacking or a TikTok dance tutorial: our "Hands On" programme includes all sessions with a practical and participatory approach.
• Off Stage
  Flashmob, experiment, installation, pop-up happening, mixed reality, performance – and whatever else you can think of that can take place on the festival grounds beyond our stages.

The rp24 theme: "Who cares?"

The fittest years are over! Demographic change, the effects of war and the climate crisis, dependency on big companies on the internet: the intensifying crises require multidimensional answers. These answers are provided by the people who care.

At re:publica 2024, we will therefore focus on the economies of care in the broadest sense, because we are certain that these will impact and reshape our society now and in the future.
