STATION Berlin
Encircling a central square, a new town emerges in all its diversity. A crossroad of stories, buildings, hopes, and conflicts. Social ties and cultures take root. People nurture sympathy and care for their equals, but also animosity towards those who are different. It doesn't take long for an "us versus them" atmosphere to take over.
From The Main Square is the result of observing Berlin while having Brazil in mind and heart during the last 4 years. Its visual identity combines Daniel Eizirik’s drawing style with Samuel Patthey’s straight-ahead 2d animations. The script is a collage of occasionally funny, eventually brutal urban absurdities experienced in societies undergoing political polarisation and environmental collapse.
