Johanna Arco

Johanna Arco (1991, Austria) studied Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and received her master’s degree at the Sandberg Institute in the Netherlands. Currently she is enrolled in the master’s program in the Experimental Game Cultures department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Within her practice she researches the metaphysical differences between objects and people. This physical and material research often culminates into sculptural/video installations, embedding personal experiments into a cultural context. Her work has been presented in group and solo exhibitions in several institutions such as NEVERNEVERLAND de Punt, Amsterdam; Looiersgracht 60, Amsterdam; Losdok, Amsterdam; Kreativquartier Halfmannshof, Glesenkirchen, esc Kunst labor, Graz; Schaumbad, Graz amongst others.
