fabricated is a multilingual traveling exhibition that promotes digital literacy, electoral resilience, and stronger internet users. Curated by the Sustainable Media Lab (NL), fabricated takes a fun, playful approach with 5 games and interactive installations to help participants understand urgent digital issues like generative AI, content moderation, misinformation, and more. This exhibition situates experiential learning in the context of digital issues in elections, by using real-world political posts, fact-checked by journalists.

fabricated is available in English, German, and Dutch, and offers take-home resources for participants to continue building their digital literacy, as assembled by our international, cross-sector consortium of academics, nonprofits, journalists, and municipal government. Moreover, "fabricated" provides a platform for participants to voice their concerns on urgent digital issues through quantitative surveys, qualitative feedback, and compensated interviews in English, Dutch, or German (€30 per interview). Catch "fabricated" at public venues in The Hague, Brussels, and Amsterdam from May to June 2024.
