A roundtable conversation on creative processes with AI in music

In this roundtable, we aim to continue and take further the conversation that was started in a session at re:publica in Berlin in June, curated by artist Moisés Horta Valenzuela in collaboration with Music Pool Berlin, documented here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBpww3T1gH8. The artist Portrait XO, who was part of the June session, will join us for a continued conversation on working with AI in music.

We are curious to look into different examples of working with AI in music in processes of production, collaboration and performance. What are challenges and interesting applications of incorporating AI in the music production process? What are the potentials and challenges of AI models based on one's own musical work, both economically and creatively?

Portrait XO explores the creativity of computers in various forms in her work, and we look forward to learning more also about the projects she has been recently involved in. Andrea Goetzke and Eric Eitel of Music Pool Berlin will develop questions out of the June re:publica session and develop the thread of conversation further with Portrait XO, as well as all of you who are engaged in AI and music or are interested in doing so in the audience.
