Jaspreet Singh

Biography: Jaspreet Singh was born in Safidon City of Haryana State, India. He received his B.tech degree in 2010 from Kurukshetra University in Electronics and Communication Engg. located in Kurushetra, India. He did his Masters in Technology from Jaypee University of Infomation Technology (JUIT) HP, India in the field of Electronics and Communication Engg with Wireless Communication as his research domain in 2013. He has worked for 8 months in the Department of Electronics and Information and Technology (DeitY) which comes under the Ministry of Communication & IT (MCIT) Government of India which is the main source of funding for all the research project in India. After that he had joined Infonet Lab under Prof Abhay Karandikar of Electrical Engineering Department of IIT Bombay, India. He had worked in the Cost Optimization in Cellular Networks where there was need of a Data Acquisition System. He had worked in designing the hardware of the system and got the technology patented. He is now working in the field of TV White Space technology and exploring the combination of the available wireless technologies to provide affordable internet services to the rural areas of India. His research interests remains in the design and development of the low cost based solution in wireless domain. He is currently the core team member of the Gram Marg project who won Mozilla open Innovation challenge in which he helped in the Deployment of the devices in the Palghar Test Bed. Now, he is also an Entrepreneur and own a start-up company as Kirat Communications Private Limited which is working for providing low cost affordable internet services in the rural areas.
