Julia Frankenberg

I am an berlin-based artist. I love playing with the possibilities on both sides of the moon. I am searching for the overlooked since the neolithic times concerning women’s and natural history and material inventions. The theme of transformation interests me as much in materials as in the mind. My sculptures and installations are created in process, in collaborations, while eating and sleeping. I am for an art that is political-erotic-mystical and hypnerotomachia.
 

Ich liebe das Spiel mit den Möglichkeiten auf beiden Seiten des Mondes. Ich suche nach übersehenen Potentialen, die wegen eines patriarchalen Neins, einem Gibts Nicht, seit dem Neolithikum dennoch Spuren hinterlassen haben. Das Thema der Verwandlung interessiert mich am Material genauso wie das Irritieren von Wahrnehmungen. Meine Skulpturen und Installationen entstehen im Prozess, in Kooperationen und beim Essen. Ich bin für eine Kunst, die politisch-erotisch-mystisch, hypnerotomachia ist.
