Franziska Baum sie/ihr

Franziska  Baum is researching self-employed and platformized care work as team member of the ‘Care Transformation’ project at the University of Hamburg (funding from 2020-2024). In her Ph.D. on the same topic she interrogates why workers choose self-employment and how they deal with the challenges of caring for others within a marketized care regime. Using the profile data from care platforms, she analyses what characterizes the workforce behind the platforms. Franziska is a trained logistician and social scientist, holding degrees in Sociology from Humboldt University Berlin and Amsterdam.
